HDR is looking for a Senior Designer to join our Water Business Group team in either Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem, NC. The ideal candidate will have a technical interest in water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipelines or water resources and stormwater. The Senior Designer will be responsible for assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases. Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities, gravity sanitary sewers and force mains, water distribution and transmission pipelines, water and wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure projects. They will support professional engineers and technical staff. They may have periodic contact with clients regarding ongoing projects and tasks. This position may require occasional field visits for construction observation. Preferred Qualifications Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field A minimum of 20 years of water/wastewater/water resources project experience, focus on water/wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipelines, or water resources/stormwater is preferred Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit and ESRI ArcGIS preferred Must thrive working in a team environment Local candidates are preferred LI-SM1 Required Qualifications* Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments Proficient with Microsoft Office Excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
