Overview SUMMARY: The Technical Writer works closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) and task order facility operations and maintenance (O&M) personnel to create technical and coherent content for a variety of contract and task order deliverables. The Technical Writer develops, writes, formats, and edits material for reports, plans, briefs, presentations, and related technical and administrative documents. The Technical Writer gathers information, interviews PMO and task order O&M personnel, and conducts other research in order to convey contract and task order deliverables in a concise and effective manner. This position will also support PMO and task order operations by working with the PMO leadership and the task order Leads to develop content for the contract/task order as on-site operations and requirements dictate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supports the PMO team and task order O&M personnel in the development, preparation, and presentation of written content for multiple, time-sensitive contract/task order deliverables. * Participates in developing and maintaining complex Excel workbooks; including but not limited to writing complex formulas, creating pivot tables, and querying large datasets. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS: * BA degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or related work experience. * Basic with Power BI and Power Query. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: * Work independently, as well as with a team, and demonstrate a good work ethic and communication (written and verbal) skills. Near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and keyboard; lift horizontally and vertically. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
