Gannett Fleming is actively recruiting highly motivated Construction Engineering Inspectors for positions in Connecticut. As an engineering inspector, you will experience exceptional training and career development opportunities, allowing you to understand dynamics unique to being in the field as part of the construction management function. At the same time, working with experienced field engineers on challenging construction projects.

Gannett Fleming is looking for a Construction Inspector with CONNDOT Road and Bridge experience for upcoming projects to work out of our Rocky Hill, CT office.

Projects will be throughout CT.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Interface with the Resident Engineer/Chief Inspector all facets of the project
  • Perform daily construction inspection of work activities.
  • Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.
Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum BS - Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management programs or NICET- Certified in Transportation Construction Inspection (TCI) Level 2 or higher required
  • Preferred certifications ACI level 1, NETTCP CI, NETTCP HMAPI, and ATSSA-TCS certificates are highly desirable
  • 2-5 years' experience as a construction inspector working on CONNDOT highway and bridge projects.
  • Experience with concrete and steel bridge rehabilitation, and pavement preservation projects preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors and climb bridge superstructures
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently with little supervision
  • This position requires travel and varied working hours
