RWDSU LOCAL 200 LOCATION: CERMAK HEALTH SERVICES JOB TITLE: CLINICAL PHARMACIST DEPARTMENT: PHARMACY - INPATIENT JOB SUMMARY The Clinical Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients by delivering clinically oriented pharmacy services in the inpatient, outpatient areas and/or correctional facility. These responsibilities include patient education and counseling of medications, performing medication histories and ensuring optimum patient outcomes or therapy. In addition, provide training and teaching to pharmacy students and residents, medical students and residents, and ancillary professional staff, i.e., pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, dieticians, nurses, respiratory therapists and others. Typical Duties *Monitors drug therapy by routinely analyzing patients' drug therapy with respect to potential problems, laboratory data and special procedures *Participates in the management of medical emergencies, i.e., disasters, cardiopulmonary resuscitation Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics *Ability to walk and stand prolonged periods Physical and Environmental Demands
