POSITION SUMMARY

The customer account manager serves as a representative and primary contact between the company and assigned customers or accounts. The position works with all departments within PAA to ensure all customer requirements are met. This position will initiate corrective actions as needed to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Account managers participate in a level-based career progression structure to qualify for increased levels of responsibility and compensation based on required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to guarantee that customer objectives are met.
  • Facilitate operation, production, and quality meetings and assist with setting customer goals on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Achieve customer service objectives by contributing customer service information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; identifying customer service trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Identify current and future needs of customers and communicate with various departments to meet customer expectations.
  • Expand and maintain relationships with new or existing customer base. Conduct customer visits as required, which may require travel.
  • Manage, generate, review and distribute customer status and TAT reports.
  • Maintain and follow-up warranty claims; work with quality and engineering to resolve claims quickly and communicate with customers regarding corrective action.
  • Process and prepare incoming customer quotes.
  • Assist accounting with account reconciliation as required.
  • Maintain customer work order files.
  • Maintain quotations for parts and repairs as required including follow-ups.
  • Process sales orders as required.
  • Investigate and report contribution margin misses.
  • While there will be account assignments, you will be responsible for supporting all customers and assignments will change as needed.
  • Participate weekly in AOG on-call rotation. Account managers will be assigned a minimum of 2 weekly rotations per quarter and will be provided with a company- issued laptop for use during their assigned weeks.
  • Calculate tariffs for individual work orders.
  • Report customer feedback to the Customer Service manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Two years of progressive experience in customer service or direct marketing
preferred.
Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel.
Other Requirements: Willing to travel if required (some trade shows and special customer meetings).

Ability to read, understand, and manage contracts.


Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
