Who We Are
Founded in 1965, UC Irvine is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities and is ranked among the nation's top 10 public universities by U.S. News & World Report. The campus has produced five Nobel laureates and is known for its academic achievement, premier research, innovation and anteater mascot. Led by Chancellor Howard Gillman, UC Irvine has more than 36,000 students and offers 224 degree programs. It's located in one of the world's safest and most economically vibrant communities and is Orange County's second-largest employer, contributing $7 billion annually to the local economy and $8 billion statewide. The newly created Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health has experienced exceptional growth in the last five years. Across its nine degree programs, the School trains approximately 1,600 undergraduates and 200 graduate and doctoral students annually and has one of the largest undergraduate cohorts of public health in the country. The School's research portfolio tops out at roughly $40 million annually on average. Along with our student population, the School's 60 faculty members, 100 staff members, and 75+ researchers are dedicated to the achievement of health equity for all populations through teaching, research, service, and public health practice -- locally and globally. Your Role on the Team Uses marketing concepts in performing responsibilities such as planning, developing and implementing basic marketing plans and annual recruitment campaigns (from start to finish) to meet student recruitment goals for the school's nine degree programs, with an emphasis on the Master of Public Health degree.
