SUMMARY: The Systems Engineer will have expertise in strategic planning, design, engineering, installation, and activation of complex new Land Based test/training capabilities, and/or surface combatant modernization. This position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. * The Systems Engineer must have experience or be able to quickly learn internal and external facility networking, wiring diagrams/schematics and cable plant configuration management and control. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: * Must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and two (2) years of Surface Combatant Weapons System experience, or 5 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of the degree. * Proficiency in Microsoft VISIO and the Microsoft Office suite of tools is required. * Competency in the area of facility and/or system design, network design, and cable fiber distribution systems. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug screen, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTI are required. May require occasional travel.
