Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

* Design, test, and support mechanical systems used in semiconductor and thin film manufacture.

* Work with local vendors and manufacturers to have parts manufactured to specification.

* Collaborate with automation, electrical, and/or software engineers to ensure mechanical systems are compatible with electrical and control system.

* Document system assembly, design, use, and tests performed.

* Collaborate with operations and process engineers to gather feedback, and develop training plan and documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, studying mechanical engineering or a related field.

* Experience with iterative design, manufacture, assembly, and mechanical systems.

* Strong experience with SolidWorks or Siemens NX CAD programs.

* Strong experience making mechanical drawings, GD&T, and design for manufacturing.

* Willingness to work with external vendors and suppliers.

* Self-starter able to think and act independently to translate general objectives into tangible results, with a record of delivering successful results on schedule.

* Excellent communication and ability to work well in both team and solo environments with people at all levels.

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience with FDM 3D printing and rapid prototyping.

* Knowledge of electromechanical actuators including motors and solenoids.

* Proficiency in basic electronics and circuit concepts.

* Basic understanding of computer, microcontroller, or PLC programming.

Pay Range:

$35-55/hour

The level of this role will be based on applicable experience, education, and skills; most offers will be be between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range listed.

Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
