Peoria's Development and Engineering Department has an opportunity for a Building Inspector II position that will work directly with the general public and contractors. This position is to perform skilled work in all phases of residential building inspections and commercial inspections as the need arises to ensure compliance. This is accomplished by performing building inspections to assure compliance with the City's building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes, other city ordinances, and state and federal laws.
