Position Summary:



The Yeshiva University High School for Boys (MTA) is seeking an Administrative Coordinator who will have responsibility for a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks while working independently. The Administrative Coordinator supports the activities of the office for the Head of School and Executive Director.



Position Responsibilities:




  • Maintain calendars, make travel arrangements, and update pending commitments and appointments for school administration.
  • Compile and submit the list of facility work orders for submission and follow up with the University Facilities department.
  • Initiates and follows through on all aspects of Purchasing for the school - submitting invoices and following up with YU's Purchasing and Accounts Payable departments to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the school leadership receives the administrative support required to meet their commitments and responsibilities.
  • Engages with parents and students over the phone, in person, and via email. Creates a welcoming office environment.
  • This position will liaise with various internal departments and may be required to have frequent external contact.
  • May be required to coordinate work assignments and assess the work of assigned staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of initial contact on any matter.
  • Independently researches and prioritizes incoming issues and determines appropriate course of action, referral, and/or response.
  • Assist supervisor(s) with administrative requirements.
  • Support special projects/programs, some of which may have a University-wide impact.
  • Maintain office correspondence and reply to inquiries.
  • Available for all ad hoc requests including but not limited to processing reimbursements and assisting the main office.
  • Meet and manage deliveries to the school.
  • Maintain coffee station and student canteen fridge.


Clerical Office Responsibilities:



  • Printing for Faculty
  • Mail merges for admissions and other projects
  • Daily busing logistics
  • Student canteen billing
  • Office supplies and inventory



Experience & Educational Background:




  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of administrative experience.
  • An equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education will be considered.



Skills & Competencies:




  • Must possess strong knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. May use other Microsoft programs as assigned.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to effectively track time and resources to prioritize own work assignments.
  • Must possess strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • May be required to work independently and produce quality work from conception to completion on assigned projects.



Salary Range:



$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
