Summary of Position

Kinsley Materials is currently seeking a disciplinedEstimatorfor our growing Precast team in York, PA. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates for all types of precast concrete construction projects. A successful candidate should have prior estimating experience, strong computer and communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Review plans and specifications for completeness and prepare RFI's for additional information required
  • Prepare detailed estimates and update the current project estimate for changes or additions to the scope of the project
  • Prepare detailed takeoffs
  • Stay abreast of current technology and construction methods in an effort to continually improve production and quality
  • Must have time management skills and be able to meet bid schedules
  • Perform other related duties to support the Precast team

Requirements

  • TITAN 3000 Precast Software experience is highly preferred
  • Advanced comprehension of drawings and specifications
  • 5 years of previous estimating or detailing experience preferred
  • 2-4 year post-secondary degree preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to be a team player and also work independently
