Assists with research and/or academic groups for respective supervisors within the Chemical Engineering Department.

About TES:
Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions

  • Assist with research and/or academic support for respective supervisors, research groups or academic areas.


  • Assists with running experiments, ordering supplies for the lab or academic, data entry, data management, file management, preparation of academic materials, and other duties as assigned by the respective supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications

  • For higher level responsibilities, a high school degree is required.
  • For lesser responsibility short term jobs, a high school degree is not required.

Desired Qualifications
A high school degree and college coursework in a math/science curriculum.

Salary Range $12.00/hour
Work Hours 7:45am - 4:45pm hours will vary when additional research is required.
