About This Role: The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Fellow (Post Doc). The successful candidate will analyze and assess the spatial distribution of CRP in Kansas and the Great Plains. Analyze the potential soil carbon sequestration linked with soil type, climate, and yield potential. Determine the vulnerability of conversion to cultivated agriculture and synergy with adjacent grasslands with critical wildlife habitat. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research and drafting publications for technical reports, and scientific journals. The successful applicant will work in an interdisciplinary team involving ecologists, soil scientists, and modelers. Worksite Options: This position is eligible for hybrid worksite. Work is performed partially remote and partially on employer premises or designated assignment location. (Employee must have availability to be on campus frequently during the work week.)
