MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIRMAN The Department of Public Works & Parks seeks applicants interested in the full-time position of Motor Equipment Repairman. Typical duties include repair and maintenance functions on a wide variety of municipal vehicles in a modern, clean and well-lit garage. Prior professional experience as a mechanic is required. Successful query from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Clearing House is required. Full uniform service provided free of charge plus a $150 annual boot allowance. ASE Certification Stipends: Class 1 - $100/week; Class 2 - $75/week; Class 3 - $50/week. Specialized technical training offered on an ongoing basis. Employees in this classification are eligible for overtime. Shift work may be required. Starting Salary: $31.63 per hour, full-time employment opportunity, with an excellent benefits package.
