Position Title: Mail Handler
Wage: $17.25 - $18.00/hour Shift: 2nd or 3rd Hours: 1:00pm - 9:30pm (Tuesday - Thursday), 10:00am - 6:30pm (Friday - Saturday) OR 9:00pm - 5:30am (Sunday - Thursday) QPS Employment group is hiring reliable and detail-oriented individuals for a Mail Sorter role in Elk Grove Village, IL. In this role, you'll help ensure mail and packages are accurately sorted, processed, and prepared for delivery. Mail Handler Responsibilities: - Receive and sort incoming mail into designated trays and processing areas - Review addresses, dates, barcodes, and postage information for accuracy - Inspect mail for damage, tampering, or suspicious contents - Operate mail sorting equipment, postage meters, and processing machines - Prepare mail for distribution through proper labeling and categorization - Redirect mail with incorrect or unreadable information for return processing - Scan packages and update tracking and database records - Perform routine checks to keep mail processing equipment operating efficiently - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Requirements for Mail Handler: - Previous warehouse, mailroom, production, or sorting experience is a plus but not required - Ability to work on your feet for extended periods - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Basic computer and scanning device skills - Ability to lift up to 30 lbs - Dependable attendance and punctuality - Ability to work independently and as part of a team IND133 Previous warehouse, food production, manufacturing, or packing experience is a plus, but not required.
