For more information about Modine, visit modine.com. Position Description Manage and coordinate manufacturing processes and manufacturing engineering activities. Confer and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations Teams. Develop and continuously improve manufacturing methods, tools and processes. Key Responsibilities Managerial: Work with Leadership Team to develop annual manufacturing engineering business goals. Manage the manufacturing engineering budget within targets identified with the objective of maximizing efficiencies at minimal cost. Prepare routine updates of goals and objectives. Manage performance of the department against approved objectives. Develop standard work processes that provide the basis for labor estimation. Prepare recommendations or purchase requisitions on major decisions such as new equipment, changes in technology used, process innovations or modifications, department staffing levels, etc. Conduct meetings and provide communications to keep staff properly informed and coordinated about company and department plans, operations, and changes. Assure effective coordination of people and information flow with other departments in the company and people/organizations outside the company with whom there is a need to do so. Additional Key Responsibilities Safety:. Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company's safety and environmental policies and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local environmental and safety regulations. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actions to eliminate hazards. Oversee environmental reporting, permitting, and waste management programs. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; prepare detailed reports for leadership. Supervisory: Hold staff accountable to systems and procedures. Manage the work performance of direct reports through communicating performance expectations, providing performance feedback and reviews, and coaching to help improve performance. Provide work related counseling and direction for assigned personnel and help mentor successors. Mentor and develop technical expertise within the department and influence its development in other areas of the company. Ensure that direct reports follow Safety Program principles and requirements. Ensure that the Manufacturing Engineering functions maintain appropriate staffing levels. Required Education & Qualifications B.S. Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or other related field. 5 or more years of management experience overseeing at least one department of manufacturing engineering management, managing budgets, and working with other managers in a manufacturing operation to deliver a quality product on time profitably is strongly desired. 5 or more years experience in Manufacturing Engineering in related field. 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing industry that utilizes a quality system. Solid understanding of ERP and CAD/CAM software systems. Why Choose Modine?
