HR Coordinator - Direct Hire Location: Houston, TX 77036 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Pay: $22.00-$25.00/hour, based on experience We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Coordinator to support daily human resources operations in a fast-paced office environment. This role is responsible for coordinating HR functions throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits, employee records management, and offboarding activities. The ideal candidate will have experience handling multiple HR responsibilities and be comfortable working independently while supporting employees and management. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred HR certification is a plus Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems Experience Requirements Minimum 1-3 years of HR or HR administration experience Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and benefits administration Experience processing payroll or reviewing employee timecards Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems; Paycom experience preferred Knowledge of HR practices, employment regulations, and confidentiality requirements Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Physical Capabilities Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods Ability to perform administrative and clerical duties throughout the workday Occasionally lift and carry office materials as needed Job Duties Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation Assist employees with questions related to HR policies, payroll, benefits, and timekeeping Track attendance, PTO, and employee status changes Schedule performance reviews and prepare HR-related documentation Post job openings, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates Process new hire paperwork, onboarding, I-9 verification, and employee orientations Manage employee offboarding, including payroll and benefits updates Process biweekly payroll and review timecards, overtime, PTO, bonuses, and deductions Assist employees with medical, dental, and vision benefits enrollment Maintain compliance records, including I-9 documentation Prepare reports using Paycom and Microsoft Excel Support HR initiatives, policy updates, audits, and special projects Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a small to mid-sized company environment Previous experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or HR Generalist Hands-on experience with Paycom Experience managing day-to-day HR and payroll functions independently Benefitsvary by client and are confirmed at the time of offer.
