Description Job Title: Test Technician Location: Plattsburgh, NY Employment Type: 6-month contract with possible opportunity of extension or permanent hire Industry: Transportation Manufacturing Compensation: $26-$36/hr (+.75 shift differential) Schedule: 2nd Shift - Monday-Friday, 2:00-11:30 PM About the Opportunity: We're seeking a hands-on T&C Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of advanced train systems in a cutting-edge rail environment. In this role, you'll work with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems while collaborating closely with engineering teams, vendors, and technical specialists to ensure system reliability and performance. Job Requirements What You'll Bring: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years of experience testing electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems Minimum of 2 years of troubleshooting experience involving wiring systems and network communications such as Ethernet, LAN, or CAN Bus Minimum of 1 year of experience performing pneumatic and/or hydraulic system testing What Sets You Apart: Associate's Degree Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings Experience using electronic test equipment including meters, gauges, power supplies, or data loggers Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and drug screen Ability to work in manufacturing and rail testing environments requiring PPE and safety compliance After you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
