The Business Architect for Security Unified Portfolio Strategy will lead the strategy and operating model for the Security Unified services portfolio, including repeatable IP, Value-Based Deliverables, and Value Acceleration Services.

The role will look beyond individual catalog offerings to understand the end-to-end customer security journey, from identifying customer needs and shaping the appropriate engagement path through adoption, usage, value realization, renewal, and expansion. The role will ensure the portfolio provides simplified, connected, and repeatable solutions that help customers improve their security posture across heterogeneous platforms, devices, applications, and clouds.

Working across business, technical, product, engineering, sales, field, and delivery organizations, the role will translate customer and business signals into portfolio strategy and scalable services that advance Microsoft Security priorities, increase usage and consumption, and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. Customer Journey and Portfolio Strategy
- Own and evolve the strategy and operating model for the Security Unified services portfolio, aligning repeatable IP, Value-Based Deliverables, and Value Acceleration Services with Microsoft Security priorities, go-to-market strategy, key workloads, and customer needs.
- Develop an end-to-end view of the customer security journey, ensuring the portfolio supports customers from initial strategy and solution adoption through usage, value realization, renewal, and expansion.
- Proactively identify gaps, opportunities, and disconnected experiences across the customer journey, and develop recommendations and action plans that improve portfolio effectiveness and customer outcomes.
Portfolio Lifecycle and Delivery Excellence
- Working as a cross org team wotk to manage the Unified catalog and offering lifecycle, including demand intake, prioritization, development, accreditation, skilling, adoption, performance monitoring, quality, and retirement.
- Ensure the portfolio delivers simplified, connected, and repeatable customer experiences while remaining responsive to different levels of customer security maturity and changing business priorities.
- Improve delivery excellence through greater repeatability, technical maturity, consistent quality, clearer customer guidance, and effective use of global delivery and partner capabilities.
Usage, Consumption, and Business Impact
- Independently analyze business, customer, field, delivery, and operational data to identify demand signals, usage and consumption opportunities, portfolio performance trends, risks, and gaps.
- Translate insights into portfolio priorities and recommendations that improve offering relevance, attachment, adoption, usage, consumption, customer value, and revenue outcomes.
- Connect services and delivery motions to measurable customer outcomes and establish clear pathways from successful delivery to ongoing adoption, renewal health, and expansion. The internal operating model similarly connects services to usage and consumption pipeline execution.
Cross-Organizational Alignment and Communication
- Partner across business, technical, product, engineering, and field teams to align portfolio priorities and establish a closed feedback loop between customer needs, field execution, offering strategy, and product direction.
- Clearly communicate the business situation, strategy, priorities, progress, risks, blockers, impacts, and outcomes at the appropriate level for each audience.
- Provide leaders and stakeholders with the visibility and recommendations needed to make decisions, remove obstacles, and drive timely execution with minimal management direction.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
