Security Officer - Full Time

As a Security Officer Credential Screening in Mount Vernon, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer at an automotive location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing badge access, monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation at Allied Universal.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, facility areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Follow established procedures for vehicle, package, and contractor access, documenting unusual activity and completing required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
