Spring 2027 Production Control Co-Op

SUMMARY

The co-op student will work on projects and will have responsibilities to supplement their knowledge and experience in the industry. The projects and assignments will become increasingly challenging with each subsequent rotation. Our goal is to provide an effective learning experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

* Daily review of production plan and inventory position to ensure that the right jobs are being moved through operations in accordance with monthly ship plan.

* Planning inventory management to help maintain a healthy, and lean level of inventory for raw materials and supplies (rods, foams, etc.)

* Co-op will generate and use reports to identify and handle disruptions by escalating to appropriate engineer or Production Control Manager.

TRAINING:

* The PCC co-op will spend time in several areas in order to learn our planning process and some of the key variables that will need to be monitored

* A week will be spent observing the processes: one day will be spent with the injection team, one day in the kiln area, another day in inspection, one with dip operations, and another with quality/shipping.

* The co-op will specifically spend time with the Production Control Manager at Ceramics in order to learn how the inputs are managed as well as the internal MRP system.

* The co-op will spend time with the site engineering supervisor to understand product yields and their impact on production.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Knowledge of related discipline functional and technical skills

* The employee will need to be detail-oriented and have a must-win attitude in order to succeed in our process.

* Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access

* Good writing skills and interpersonal skills

* US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

* Full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or any other related field.
