Product Development Assistant - Casual Sleep

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Product Development Assistant to support a Product Development team focused on the Casual Sleep category. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career in product development within a fast-paced fashion and retail environment.

The Product Development Assistant will support the team throughout the product development lifecycle, helping coordinate product information, maintain data and systems, track samples, and ensure development milestones stay organized and on schedule.

The team is open to recent graduates as well as candidates with previous product development experience. The ideal candidate brings a positive, can-do attitude, strong organizational skills, and genuine enthusiasm for working within a consumer fashion brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Product Development team with day-to-day coordination of product development activities.
• Assist with the development and tracking of prototype products within the Casual Sleep category.
• Enter, maintain, and update product information within internal data systems.
• Coordinate and track product samples as needed throughout the development process.
• Monitor development timelines and help ensure key milestones and deliverables remain on schedule.
• Create and update seasonal composite sheets, classification charts, and other product development documentation.
• Coordinate weekly updates to ensure product information is accurate and communicated in a timely manner.
• Support communication of product development details across internal teams and external vendor partners.
• Assist with workflow management and follow up on outstanding development needs.
• Partner closely with Product Development leadership and cross-functional teams to support seasonal product execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Fashion, Design, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
• Previous product development, product design, fashion, merchandising, or related experience is preferred; recent graduates will also be considered.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with product information, data, systems, and detailed documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever support is needed.
• Positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm for the brand and product.
• Must be located in New York or the surrounding tri-state area and able to commute to the office as required for the hybrid schedule.
