Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Forescout Engineer.

As an experienced Forescout Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and operational support of a large-scale enterprise Forescout platform. This role provides advanced technical expertise for network access control (NAC), device visibility, and policy enforcement while partnering with infrastructure and security teams to maintain a secure, highly available environment. Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, F5 load balancers, and enterprise networking is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, administer, and optimize the enterprise Forescout platform, including policy development, device classification, compliance enforcement, deployment, and integrations.
• Provide expert operational support by troubleshooting complex Forescout, network, and endpoint issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving timely resolution of incidents.
• Integrate Forescout with enterprise security and infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, SIEM, EDR, NAC, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Collaborate with network and security engineering teams to implement secure access controls and support changes across Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
• Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and automation where appropriate, while participating in architecture reviews, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a security-first mindset across the organization.
• Stay up to date with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices. Participate in industry conferences and forums to share knowledge and gain insights.

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Lead management and support of Forescout.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7 or more years of experience
• BA/BS degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Forescout CounterACT administration and enterprise deployments.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and F5 BIG-IP (LTM/APM) platforms.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, 802.1X, RADIUS, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or Python) and security operations processes is a plus.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $101,493.51 - $112,613.12 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
