AVP Strategic Clinical Affiliation Management

The Associate Vice President, Strategic Affiliation Management reports to the Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy & Clinical Growth Officer (or designee) and serves as the enterprise leader responsible for managing Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center's strategic clinical affiliation portfolio.

This role provides executive oversight of key clinical partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities through effective governance, financial stewardship, operational integration, and relationship management. The AVP serves as the central point of coordination across affiliated organizations, maintaining institutional knowledge of partnership structures, agreements, governance processes, financial methodologies, and operational commitments.

Working closely with executive leadership and stakeholders across strategy, business development, finance, legal, clinical operations, service lines, and partner organizations, the AVP supports successful partnership execution, enterprise decision-making, and long-term strategic growth.

Strategic Affiliation Management

Lead and oversee Fred Hutch's portfolio of strategic clinical affiliations, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, governance structures, operational commitments, and financial objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by identifying partnership opportunities, risks, dependencies, and solutions that support long-term organizational success.

Partnership Agreements & Relationship Management

• Maintain enterprise oversight of clinical affiliation agreements, governance documents, financial arrangements, and related partnership records.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support agreement implementation, renewals, amendments, and compliance with organizational commitments.

Funds Flow Administration & Financial Stewardship

• Lead the administration and continuous improvement of departmental funds flow methodologies, including annual planning, validation, implementation, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and clinical leaders to evaluate funding models, monitor outcomes, and support executive decision-making.

Enterprise Partnership Integration

• Coordinate cross-organizational initiatives involving Fred Hutch and affiliated partners, ensuring successful execution of shared strategic and operational priorities.
• Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, resolve barriers, and promote effective implementation of partnership commitments.

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance, or a related field, and 10 years of progressive leadership experience in academic medicine, integrated health systems, healthcare administration, strategy, operations, finance, partnership management, or a related environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives, supporting executive leadership and governance bodies, overseeing strategic partnerships, and developing business cases, financial analyses, and executive-level communications.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with academic medical centers, physician organizations, research enterprises, complex contractual relationships, and enterprise governance structures.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $246,937.00 to $434,241.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for relocation assistance.
