Job Summary
The Administrative Coordinator in the Faculty Affairs Department at Maricopa Community Colleges provides essential administrative and logistical support to Faculty Affairs and the Faculty Professional Growth (FPG) Committee. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs, this position works closely with faculty leaders to coordinate horizontal salary adjustments, sabbaticals, travel authorizations, summer projects, and program budget reconciliation. This Administrative Coordinator opportunity is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative and enjoys supporting programs and processes that contribute to faculty professional growth and success. Essential Functions
30% - Receives, processes, documents, and tracks Faculty submissions for horizontal advancement, sabbaticals, summer projects, and travel authorizations 30% - Facilitates and coordinates the Faculty Professional Growth Committee meetings and operations to provide logistical, administrative, and website support to ensure timely review and approval of Faculty sabbatical requests, travel authorizations, summer projects, and internal events to support salary advancement for Faculty 15% - Maintains records and databases and work closely with Human Resources to ensure timely annual pay adjustments for Faculty 10% - Maintains and reconciles Faculty Professional Growth program budget, including reporting and reconciliation of expenditures 15% - Provides communication and serve as the subject matter expert providing process and procedural coordination and support between Faculty Professional Growth Committee, Faculty, Human Resources, College Administration, Institutional Research and Effectiveness, and Information Technology in matters related to Faculty Professional Growth Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of advanced administrative office support, secretarial, or related experience providing office coordination activities, preferably involving executive level staff. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered Desired Qualifications
