Description MaineHealth Corporate Professional - Nonclinical Do you have an eye for detail and a talent for staying organized? Are you interested in the intersection of law, HR, and employee relations? MaineHealth is seeking a Labor & Employment Legal Assistant to support our in-house Labor & Employment attorneys in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You'll help manage employment-related matters by coordinating document management, scheduling, and deadline tracking. You will also support workplace investigations and litigation, maintain sensitive legal records, and coordinate with staff across departments. We're looking for someone who enjoys juggling multiple priorities, solving problems, and handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Experience in a legal, HR, or administrative support role is preferred. Experience supporting attorneys, employment law matters, or litigation is a plus. If you're highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy meaningful work that supports both legal and operational teams, this could be a great opportunity to join MaineHealth's Legal Affairs team. NOTE: 100% onsite for first 6 months then hybrid with 3 day in / 2 work-from-home cadence. Summary: The Legal Assistant role works with department attorneys to perform responsibilities in one or more of the following areas as assigned: corporate record keeping, insurance program administration, contract assembly and editing, subpoena management, employment law, real estate or litigation support. This role will also provide administrative support to attorneys including calendar management, document organization and filing, correspondence management and communication with clients. Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
