Grinder / Bead Blaster

Coperion is currently seeking a Grinder to support our location in Whitewater, WI. The Grinder/Bead Blast Operator supports the activities of the Operations department by setting up, maintaining, operating, and cleaning grinding and bead blast equipment to assure a quality product finish that meets specifications. We have a 5S environment, very clean production floor and great people to work with!

Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6 am - 3 pm & Friday 6 am - Noon

Responsibilities:

• Sets up equipment, chooses nozzles per requirements, and adjusts mixture of air with sand for best efficiency and finish
• Exercise skill to remove adhering sand, scale, residue from parts/products and to inspect and provide a finished part that meets requirements
• Operate stationary and portable grinders and other hand tools to remove oxidation and foreign matter, burrs, weld spatter, etc. from stainless steel
• Grinds and polishes weld seams to obtain a matched grained finish on product surfaces per drawings and specifications

* Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S

* Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 6 months or more related experience

* Ability to read blueprints preferred

* Basic computer knowledge

* Dependability a must
