Job Duties Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking products, and labeling pallets for shipment. Operate forklifts and RF scanning equipment to move, track, and process inventory accurately. Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Verify inventory and shipment accuracy by comparing products to receiving and shipping documentation. Identify, report, and resolve inventory, shipping, and receiving discrepancies. Locate, retrieve, and replenish inventory to maintain efficient warehouse operations. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial. Experience Requirements 1 Year Experience with Material Handling Equipment - at least one piece of equipment is required and multiple pieces are preferred (Reach Trucks, Counterbalance -slip and clamp attachments) Ability to obtain a forklift certification. Ability to read and interpret distribution documents. Required to operate MHE and use an RF scanner. Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills. General distribution knowledge. Strong initiative and drive for results. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Safety vest and safety shoes required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred. Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial. Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator. Physical Capabilities While performing this job, the associate is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers. The associate may occasionally be required to climb. The job may require lifting over 50lbs in some areas but not all. Associate must have normal field of vision corrected to / in each eye and must have sufficient hearing to safely operate in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
