Production Operator I

The Production Operator will work in a team-based manufacturing environment performing a wide variety of semi-repetitive or unique precision assembly operations where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production drawings or detailed written instructions.

• Advance in their job duties and abilities through on-the-job experience
• Perform the full range of duties necessary to build and assemble units in their respective zone
• Work with Zone Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily Task
• Participate and promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided, PPE usage, etc.
• Ability to execute housekeeping responsibilities (6S experience) that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives
• Ability to understand Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zone
• Demonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activities
• It is expected that enhanced proficiency within the Zone will result in active participation in the Employee Suggestions Program
• Ability to understand and engage in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement/problem solving in the zone; actively identifies detractors and records them on the Tier Production Boards.
• Power tools usage experience
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education level
• Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required
• Experience using hand and torque-driven tools
• Basic PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions in English
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

Working schedule:* Day shifts - Monday - Thursday. Willingness to work weekends if necessary.
