Mechanical Engineer 3

You will be a key contributor to the WET Product Group, within the Engineering Operations Team, supporting Sabre 3D and Sabre products. The Engineering Operations Team reports to the WETS PG Engineering Department, so we are closely aligned with PG Engineering goals and objectives. We also work hand in hand with the Electrofill Product Management Team and GPS / Quality.Engineering Operations operates in a very dynamic environment and is deeply engaged in numerous PG deliverables, and is central to the PG's success.You'll be part of a very interactive team that offers independent areas of ownership while working within a tightly collaborative small team environment. As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging. This Engineering Quality ME will have a direct and highly impactful influence on Engineering Quality.You will solve real world problems, in a fast paced environment and provide solutions to internal and external groups. You will be involved in, and directly contribute to, highly impactful PG programs and projects. You will impact areas of direct concern to the customer.

• Own specific and unique design projects sharply focused on improving Engineering Department Quality performance.
• Have a high degree of ownership for driving engineering solutions and solving quality issues.
• Perform multi-faceted and autonomous engineering activity: problem solving, creative design solutions, testing, etc.
• Own projects that are highly visible and have high impact to the customer.
• Partner with SET, MFG, and GPS partners as engineering technical expert in the quality space.
• Maintain tight collaboration with the Quality TPM (Technical Program Manager), also in the Engineering Operations Team, in terms of project priorities and schedule deliverables.
• Be responsible for Engineering ownership of key NCE/NCI and timely dispositioning of 8D's.
• Present progress in quality forums to engineering management.
• You'll work closely and collaborate with several internal and external groups: Supply Chain, SET, Product Management, PG Engineering Management, PG Engineers, LIGHT India Engineering Team, Key Account Technologists and customer teams, Operations, Field Engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years; or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
• Highly proficient in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, Siemens NX.
• Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills.
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating influence skills to deliver results.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the Company.
• Strong project organizational skills and the ability to drive deliverables to completion.
• Strong analytical skills to drive clear decisions within a complex organizational environment.
• Creative thinking skills are very important.

• Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Experience in project management, managing projects, or problem-solving while managing time and multiple priorities.
