Claims Client Experience is an essential product within this framework, providing the claims journey straight to clients through Aon Meridian, Aon's consolidated client portal.

The platform enables organizations to report losses, track claim activity, manage claim documentation, and access meaningful insights that support better risk decisions.

Aon is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the vision, direction, and delivery of this client-facing experience. This role combines customer-focused product leadership, agile delivery, careful planning, and digital innovation to create solutions that deliver measurable value to clients and the business.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week in a local Aon office in Chicago.

What the Day Will Look Like

Product Strategy & Roadmap Management

• Define and develop the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics.
• Translate customer needs, market trends, and business priorities into strategic product initiatives.
• Prioritize investments that enhance customer experience, improve operational effectiveness, and support business growth.
• Use customer feedback, operational insights, and product data to inform decision-making.

Agile Product Delivery

• Lead backlog management and product prioritization using Agile and Scrum practices.
• Partner with engineering, design, architecture, and delivery teams to bring new capabilities from concept through release.
• Create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and support sprint planning and execution.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities while enabling informed trade-off decisions.

Collaborator & Client Engagement

• Build strong partnerships across technology, business, operations, compliance, and delivery organizations.
• Lead discovery sessions, solution reviews, and user feedback activities with clients and key collaborators.
• Clearly convey product priorities, progress, and results to both technical and business audiences.
• Align collaborators around shared objectives and customer outcomes.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Champion AI-enabled ways of working that improve productivity, decision-making, and customer experience.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and opportunities that strengthen digital claims capabilities.
• Support successful product launches, adoption campaigns, and ongoing optimization efforts.
• Share product management guidelines and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge, skills, and experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a related role supporting enterprise digital products.
• Proven ability to bring customer-facing digital products from initial discovery through launch and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, backlog management, and roadmap planning.
• Experience translating business requirements and customer needs into scalable product solutions.
• Proven track record to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams and collaborator groups.
• Strong communication skills with experience conveying complex ideas to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience using customer insights, operational metrics, and data-driven analysis to guide product decisions.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar product lifecycle management tools.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and external delivery partners.
• Experience applying AI-enabled tools and technologies within product development, delivery, or operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within insurance, claims management, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience supporting customer portals or enterprise-scale digital platforms.
• Familiarity with APIs, cloud technologies, identity management, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with global product rollouts, localization, accessibility standards, or multi-region delivery.
• Exposure to agentic AI capabilities and emerging digital experience technologies.
• Product certifications such as CSPO, SAFe POPM, or similar credentials.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in the industry.
• The willingness to obtain an active Property and Casualty license within four months of hire

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $116,800 to $186,800 annually. The final salary will depend on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, along with internal fairness and consistency with market information. The salary may also be modified according to the applicant's geographic location.

This role qualifies for participation in one of Aon's annual incentive programs to earn a yearly discretionary bonus alongside the base salary. The size of any bonus differs and depends on the terms and conditions of the relevant incentive plan.
