As theAssociate Dean and Director of the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (OSCCS), you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the university's undergraduate student community standards process. The position oversees the fair, equitable, and legally sound administration of conduct processes involving undergraduate students and collaborates with graduate and professional schools regarding matters within their respective jurisdictions. The Associate Dean/Director provides consultation, direction, and support to staff and hearing officers; serves as a hearing officer and hearing-panel facilitator; responsible for the recruitment and development of conduct-board members; contributes to university policy development; and promotes education regarding student rights, responsibilities, and community standards. This position works closely with the Office for Institutional Equity, Office of General Counsel, graduate and professional schools, faculty and academic units, residential life, campus safety, counseling and health services, and other university partners. The position also participates in student crisis response and a rotating 24-hour dean-on-call schedule. All candidates must submit a cover letter with the application. Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $68,179.00 to USD $125,438.00.
