  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing functions under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiologic Technologist.
  • In addition to positioning patients and radiographic exams, the aide is also responsible for preparing exam rooms, equipment, supplies and contrast medications.
  • Responsible for working in compliance according to the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
  • Responsible for positioning patients for technical procedures as authorized under the direction of a licensed Radiologic Technologist. In addition, performs basic patient care tech responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of the terminology, processes and procedures, regulations relating to Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Collects patient data under the direction of licensed personnel.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must beenrolledin an accredited radiography program with an anticipated completion date as outlined in the radiography program.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
