As a Test Engineer for Wastech Systems & Ovivo Electronics USA by Ecolab, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of water treatment and process systems through comprehensive in-house testing activities. This position partners closely with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement efforts and help advance innovative solutions that address one of the world's most critical resources: water.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform in-house Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on equipment and systems to verify performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and system issues identified during testing and collaborate with engineering teams on drawing revisions and software updates.
  • Complete and maintain FAT, pressure test, and leak test documentation to support quality and compliance requirements.
  • Provide feedback and lessons learned to engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to improve future designs and processes.
  • Support manufacturing operations with the setup and configuration of temporary test equipment.
  • Apply and verify system tags and labels to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Capture, organize, and maintain engineering and marketing photographs of completed systems and equipment.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout all testing activities.

Position Details (Location & Work Schedule):

  • Location: Chatsworth, CA
  • Work Environment: Office and manufacturing/shop environment with hands-on equipment testing responsibilities.
  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with industrial process equipment and testing procedures.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) or commissioning activities on industrial systems.
  • Knowledge of pressure testing, leak testing, and quality documentation practices.
  • Experience working in water treatment, process systems, or related industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing activities and documentation requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and resolve technical issues.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$70,000-75,000 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
