Aquent Studios is proud to partner with a globally renowned technology innovator that shapes how millions of people interact with both the digital and physical worlds. In this highly dynamic role, you will have the unique opportunity to make a massive, visible impact by transforming physical storefronts into captivating, multi-dimensional narratives. As a creative visionary, your work will turn passing pedestrians into enchanted spectators, directly influencing how millions of people engage with a beloved, world-class brand through stunning, immersive installations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptionally creative professional with a profound background in spatial design to bring high-profile holiday and seasonal installations to life. Using your unique 3D spatial perspective, you will masterfully leverage light, structural depth, scale, and material layering to craft unforgettable architectural storytelling environments. This role offers the perfect blend of big-picture conceptual strategy and hands-on craftsmanship, allowing you to see your designs evolve from initial CAD renderings to breathtaking physical realities in major flagship locations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop compelling seasonal storyboards, innovative visual concepts, and detailed 3D mockups for upcoming visual campaigns and flagship storefront windows.
  • Apply advanced 3D spatial design principles-including precise control over scale, proportion, lighting, sightlines, and depth-to maximize the impact of storefront window frames.
  • Select, source, and rigorously test innovative materials, prop elements, kinetic features, sophisticated lighting setups, and spatial fixtures to ensure creative vision aligns seamlessly with budget and structural safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with external fabricators, skilled prop makers, print vendors, and local store build teams, meticulously overseeing construction to ensure designs translate flawlessly from CAD renderings to physical reality.
  • Lead hands-on, on-site setup and installation of complex window environments, executing precise spatial assembly during tight evening or off-hour turnarounds.
  • Plan, execute, and decommission rapid seasonal turnarounds, such as holiday spectacles, spring flagship displays, and brand takeovers, ensuring seamless transitions that enhance the retail experience.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • A compelling portfolio showcasing proven, impactful experience in window design, visual merchandising, trade show installations, scenic design, or spatial experience design.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software, such as SketchUp, Rhino, Blender, or Vectorworks, alongside expert-level command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong working knowledge of physical scale, critical sightlines, sophisticated color theory, cutting-edge retail lighting techniques, and dynamic prop placement.
  • A solid understanding of spatial fabrication techniques, structural integrity, hanging weight limits, advanced lighting rigs, and a commitment to sustainable/reusable material choices.
  • Demonstrated ability to expertly manage complex production timelines, cultivate strong vendor relationships, and navigate budgetary constraints while consistently delivering pristine artistic output under firm deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Proven experience in creating truly impactful holiday display work that captivates and delights audiences.
  • Demonstrated hands-on craftsmanship, embodying the dual role of a visionary strategist and a detail-oriented maker who can meticulously adjust lighting or tweak prop placement on location.
  • A deep understanding of current spatial design trends, contemporary visual art movements, sophisticated visual storytelling techniques, and cutting-edge retail experiential technology.
