What you'll be responsible for each day:

The Maintenance General position is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules/regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair and upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install, update and repair equipment.
• Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining high quality.
• Repair or replace valves and pumps (seals, steams, O rings, seats, bearings, etc.) as needed.
• Perform basic electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starter, motor leads, etc.) as needed.
• Perform basic pipe fitting as directed.
• Handle all equipment and chemicals safely.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a good working knowledge of all process areas in the plant.
• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Safety ProtocolStop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
• Support safety policies and programs.

• Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 140 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry. Next to the plant is our well-known Simon's Specialty Cheese store, which has about 20 employees. Simon's is a Wisconsin-themed store, with everything from meats and cheese to clothing and craft spirits.
