Job Description: The Specialist I, Event Planner is responsible for assisting throughout the event planning process and organizing corporate or private events for the company. Organizes meetings and events internally and externally for clients. Maintains partnerships with vendors and caterers. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Oversees the set-up, execution, and cleanup of events. Assists with rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Assists onsite vendors with logistics and addresses questions to ensure client satisfaction for the scheduled event. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Education Required: Bachelor's degree. Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position. Experience Required: Corporate event experience. 1+ years of experience in event management. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of:Meeting scheduling and logistics, event management software, Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in:Communication (written, verbal), networking, creative problem solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to:Work in a fast-paced environment; stay organized, prioritize workload, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
