Job Description:
The Aircraft Cleaner is responsible for ensuring company aircraft are clean, fully serviced, and presentation-ready for every departure. This position supports the flight department by maintaining exceptional interior and exterior aircraft cleanliness, stocking commissary items, and ensuring the aircraft reflects the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and passenger comfort.
Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Reads and interprets instructions and procedures. Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Prepares construction sites, pours and spreads concrete, sets forms, and/or finishes surfaces. Participates in routine and turnaround plant maintenance projects and activities. Supports plant production activities in receiving and shipping materials and products. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform thorough interior cleaning of company aircraft before each departure, including: Vacuuming carpets and flooring Cleaning and sanitizing lavatories Wiping and disinfecting all cabin surfaces Cleaning windows, mirrors, tables, and cabinetry Emptying trash and replacing liners Dusting vents, ledges, and other interior components Clean and detail the aircraft exterior as required, including: Washing aircraft in accordance with approved procedures Cleaning windows, landing gear, wheels, and brightwork Removing bugs, dirt, and contaminants from approved surfaces Assisting with aircraft polishing and appearance projects when required Stock and replenish aircraft commissary items, including: Beverages Snacks and catering supplies Ice Paper products Coffee supplies Passenger amenities Verify commissary inventory and notify management of items requiring replenishment. Prepare the cabin to company presentation standards prior to passenger arrival. Ensure all cabin equipment, safety equipment, and passenger amenities are properly organized and secured. Maintain cleanliness of the hangar, cleaning equipment, storage rooms, and commissary areas. Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and approved aircraft cleaning chemicals. Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer-approved cleaning practices to prevent aircraft damage. Assist maintenance personnel with non-maintenance support tasks as assigned. Report cabin discrepancies, damage, or supply shortages to the Director of Maintenance or designated supervisor. Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous support to flight crews and passengers when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous aircraft detailing or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver"s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and short-notice departures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work including bending, climbing, kneeling, and working from ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining executive-level aircraft presentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
