This role is responsible for coordinating and driving the end-to-end implementation of Orange & Rocklands (ORU) Enterprise Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS), with a focus on execution tracking, issue management, and cross-functional alignment. Responsibilities include maintaining implementation task plans and defect tracking, supporting vendor selection and onboarding activities, and coordinating with system integrators and internal stakeholders to deliver the solution across development, testing, and production environments. The role ensures alignment across all phasesfrom procurement through system deployment and go-livewhile incorporating requirements from multiple business units and technology domains. The position requires strong execution oversight, technical acumen, and the ability to navigate complex system integration efforts across internal and external teams. It plays a key role in advancing DERMS as an integrated platform, supporting interoperability with enterprise systems and enabling the seamless incorporation of distributed energy resources into grid operations. This work directly supports REV (Reforming the Energy Vision) objectives and aligns with the Companys long-term strategy to enhance platform capabilities and modernize grid management through advanced applications and integrated technologies. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate and drive end-to-end implementation of ORUs Enterprise DERMS platform, ensuring alignment across procurement, system integration, go-live phases and future maintenance.
- Oversee selected system integrators and efforts to enable interoperability between DERMS and grid applications, advancing distributed energy resource visibility and control
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements that address business needs.
- Assist the product team in creating, maintaining and prioritizing the implementation tasks to align with business and product goals.
- Track implementation tasks, milestones, and defect resolution to support timely delivery across development, testing, and production environments.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining product documentation, including user guides and release notes.
- Participate in and report out on project status including timelines, risks and issues (RAID), budget (if applicable) and resources.
- Oversee the planning and management of meetings, both regular and ad hoc, including agenda development and ensuring effective facilitation and follow-up.
- Collaborate with QA teams to track acceptance criteria, testing activities, and validation of completed features.
- Support communication between the business and product team.
- Collect and review stakeholder feedback through product demonstrations.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Any Discipline and 2 years of related work experience or
- Associate's Degree Any Discipline and 4 years of related work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Math or Engineering and 2 years of work experience with related work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- Experience standing up an operation technology system, required.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and vendor management, required.
- Demonstrated experience as a self-starter, with a willingness to learn, and a strong ability to creatively solve problems, required.
- Demonstrated experience driving ideas from conception to realized results, required.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff and various levels of management, required.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, required.
- Must work well in team situations, be willing and able to lead and participate in cross-functional teams as required.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly and deliver results in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, required.
- Excellent judgment, tact, initiative, self-motivation, organizational skills, analytical skills, critical thinking, problem solving, required.
- Technical experience in operations, engineering, system operations, or information systems, preferred.
- Familiarity with Electrical Distribution System and Assets, preferred.
- Experience in the Utility industry, particularly in the area of technology planning, roadmap development and management of large-scale system delivery projects (vendor or in house), preferred.
- Familiarity with CECONY processes and procedures for implementing IT systems, preferred.
- General knowledge or familiarity with Software Power Engineering Tools, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to travel to various Company locations and to other companies, if required. Must be available to travel out-of-town for meetings and conferences.
