Position: QA Technician (Nights)

Work Schedule: 7:00pm - 7:00am on a 2-2-3 rotation

POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Technician provides support for production, purchasing, product development, project managers, and customers to ensure that all applicable regulations and customer expectations are met in the production process.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Provide daily support to all manufacturing cells and internal customers for Quality related issues and concerns.
  • Perform the first piece inspection process for all finished goods.
  • Investigate non-conforming material; write investigation and non-conformance reports. Update NCM raw materials and finished product disposition.
  • Perform quality inspection on new products to ensure finished goods comply with required specifications.
  • May make decisions on NCM bracketing for a product to be placed on hold or released for sale.
  • Perform weekly cGMP audits of Operations, Chem Mix, and Central Accumulation Area.
  • Assist with customer returns and process credit orders as needed.
  • Assist with supplier complaint process.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by the QA Manager or QA Supervisor.
  • Provide OJT for new hires in the absence of a QA Tech II.
  • Supports Operations with DHR inquiries and corrections, as needed.
  • Sample/Inspect all applicable incoming raw materials. Perform testing as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain solution and finished product retain samples, ensure annual inspections are completed.
  • Manage QA Hold/Quarantine area.
  • Obtain environmental samples as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)



  • High School Diploma/GED required, plus a minimum of 1-3 years' experience in Quality, Laboratory, or a Manufacturing setting
  • STEM-related degree preferred
  • FDA experience highly desired
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with limited supervision is a plus.
  • Work prioritizing is essential for success.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and influence others.

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Work environment includes occasional noise >85db, hot and cold temperatures.
  • Requires ability to read, write, calculate, and analyze.
  • Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color vision.
