What to Expect

Datacenter Technical Program Manager (TPM) role focused on AI builds/clusters include a strong technical background in hardware deployment, data center infrastructure, and program management for large-scale AI/high-performance computing (HPC) systems. This role involves coordinating cross- functional teams (engineering, supply chain, operations, vendors) to design, build, deploy, and scale HPC clusters in Tesla owned/built data centers.

This position is based in the Tesla Austin Gigafactory.

Tesla is a fast moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. The successful candidate will be a self-starter; motivated with expert overall Program Management expertise.


What You'll Do
  • ProgramManagement: Leadcross-functional , global/matrixed teams ; manage schedules , risks, dependencies and deliverables across hardware, software, construction and facilities teams. Build strong relationships between various cross functional teams
  • Drive end-to-end large scale GPU cluster builds and deployments
  • Gathering requirements, scope, helping prioritization, resources, budget and planning for all phases of the Program life cycle
  • Drive organizational alignment and efficiency by coordinating with multi-functional leads and streamlining processes
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for the project team
  • TechnicalAcumen:UnderstandGPUserverdesign,clusterarchitecture,systemmonitoring/instrumentation(e.g.,Prometheus,Grafana) andsupplychain/ODM-OEMcoordinationforreliableassembly
  • Datacenter design concepts - power/coolingtechnologies, Datacenter construction
  • Leadership&Communication: Presenttoseniorleadership,managevendors/customers andresolveissuesinambiguousorhigh-pressureenvironments
  • Report on overall program status, providing insights, risks and recommendations to senior management
