Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting asset management, maintenance planning, and operational performance initiatives through advanced data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions. This role focuses on mining, cleansing, modeling, and analyzing large volumes of equipment performance and maintenance data to drive informed business decisions. The Senior Business Analyst will develop dashboards, automate reporting processes, support enterprise asset management systems, and leverage emerging AI technologies to enhance condition monitoring and asset health programs. The position requires strong collaboration with stakeholders across operations, maintenance, planning, and technology teams.

Job Responsibilities



  • Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, cleanse, and analyze asset and maintenance data.
  • Create and manage data load tables to support updates to asset and location records within enterprise systems.
  • Monitor asset health data and establish alarm parameters and automated notifications for performance issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support maintenance, planning, and asset management initiatives.
  • Perform advanced data modeling, analytics, and trend analysis to identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Support asset management programs through data-driven insights and performance reporting.
  • Utilize AI technologies and solutions to enhance condition monitoring, predictive analytics, and asset performance management.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data models, reporting processes, and business requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems and reporting platforms.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and insights to business stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, analytics, and operational performance.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
  • Advanced experience developing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Strong experience with Power BI or similar dashboarding and visualization platforms.
  • Experience working with Oracle databases and related technologies.
  • Strong data modeling, data analysis, and business intelligence skills.
  • Experience implementing and utilizing AI technologies, machine learning tools, or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with IBM Maximo or other enterprise asset management systems.
  • Knowledge of utility operations, substations, substation equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture solutions.
  • Experience supporting condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, or asset health programs.
  • Experience developing automated reporting and notification systems.


Work Experience



  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, business intelligence, dashboard development, or asset management analytics.
  • Experience supporting maintenance, operations, engineering, or asset management organizations.
  • Experience developing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and complex business processes.
