Work Schedule:

Part-time, 60% FTE, day shift position, 24 hours/week. Weekly Schedule includes; Sunday, 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Monday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Wednesday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:

  • This position may be eligible for a $2,400 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).

  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Behavioral Health to:

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with behavioral health needs in both the Emergency Department and the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at University Hospital.

  • Develop, implement and facilitate therapeutic group sessions.

  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs.

  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team and collaborate with UW Health departments to optimize care coordination and patient outcomes.

  • Partner with UW Health wellness staff to support long-term health and wellness strategies that extend beyond occupational therapy services.

  • Contribute to a large, dynamic rehabilitation team committed to delivering exceptional, patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Required

Work Experience

  • 2 years prior relevant experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months Required
