Position Summary

Basic Function:
Responsible for the execution of required shipping and receiving activities to meet customer requirements and internal measures. The Warehouse Lead Person is second in charge of the warehouse. Responsible for supporting the Warehouse Supervisor and filling in for the supervisor when necessary. Help coordinate warehouse activities as well as transfer information to employees in order to achieve the production requirements of the departments, and the Parker Service Center.

Scope/Supervision:
Works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, Office Supervisor and Plant Manager to coordinate the activities of the center's warehouse staff. Assists in providing communication, training and guidance to insure premier customer service is delivered on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
* To provide premier customer service according to facility, division or group policy
* The Lead person will troubleshoot issues; escalate the issue when appropriate and follow-through to insure customer satisfaction
* Work with the office to expedite emergency orders upon the customer's request
* Monitor internal procedures/controls to assure accuracy and timely completion of assigned work projects
* Support Lean and recommend corrective action where appropriate
* Participation in improvement programs, motivate and empower others
* Maintain clean and orderly work environment
* Monitor and report unsafe conditions
* Provide new hire training
* Provide feedback on warehouse staff work performance to Supervisor
* Assure positive employee relations
* Understand and support company policies and procedures
* Maintain effective communication with all levels of management
* Perform various warehouse duties including, but not limited to:
o Pulling of product per customer requirements and preparing pulled product for shipment to the customer
o Processing inbound shipments for appropriate storage
o Cycle counting and/or physical inventory
o Use of various types of equipment including, but not limited to:
* Various types of fork lifts
* Automated storage and retrieval systems
* Automated warehouse management systems (WMS)
* Use of various computer-based programs (Bill of Ladings, small package manifest, PC type applications, mainframe type applications)
* Record necessary data on appropriate paperwork and/or in computer-based program(s)
* Maintain all equipment according to facility maintenance procedures
* Perform all responsibilities in a safe manner observing all safety requirements
* Actively support the Corporate Win Strategy
* Read and interrupt product prints and/or catalogs
* Perform other related responsibilities

Qualifications

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders], or have refugee or asylee status).

Requirements:
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Ability to operate various types of assembly equipment and various types of fork lifts
* Ability to use measuring devices; tape measurer, caliper, perform basic math; convert a decimal to a fraction and plot on a measuring tape
* Read and interpret written (English) instructions
* Computer proficiency
* Work 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday (daily and weekend overtime may be scheduled as necessary and could be on a voluntary or mandatory basis, based on business needs)

* Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally required to assist in dual lifts of up to 150 pounds with another employee. The employee will commonly lift and/or carry objects weighing 20-50 pounds. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle product, pull or push product/equipment, reach with hands and arms, occasionally be required to bend, twist, sit and stoop. Occasionally will be required to climb (stairs and/or ladders). The employee will frequently be required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. * Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to heat, cold, humidity and dust. The employee will frequently work on or around moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. The employee will frequently work with deadlines under pressure and will occasionally be required to work alone.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $22.25/hr to $26.42/hr
  • Lead Pay: $3/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
