Position Summary The Site Quality and Compliance Manager provides leadership, direction, and development for the site Quality function, including quality inspectors, calibration technicians, and quality engineers. This role manages the day-to-day operation of the Quality function to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness are maintained at the highest level. The position is additionally responsible for leading the Division Quality program in accordance with applicable Parker policies, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and U.S. Government requirements, while ensuring quality systems, plans, standards, and procedures are effectively implemented and sustained across all division sites. The role also drives supplier quality, root cause corrective action, continuous improvement, and cross-functional quality support within an aerospace/manufacturing environment. This role will have direct reports. The role is based in Akron, OH, and reports directly to the Division Quality Manager, with a strong dotted-line relationship to the Akron Site Operations Manager. The role is accountable for aligning Division quality and compliance activities across all sites while supporting a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all site quality and compliance matters for Akron Manufacturing (Valves and Carbon) and MRO activities.
- Provide quality-focused leadership to achieve facility objectives related to customer satisfaction, throughput, product quality, cost reduction, and people productivity.
- Lead, develop, implement, and maintain the site Quality Management System to ensure compliance with AS9100, AS9102, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Act as the site quality representative for compliance with applicable government, military, FAA, EASA, DCMA, and customer quality system requirements.
- Ensure quality requirements are clearly defined at all functional levels to support effective planning, execution, verification, and compliance.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Quality Assurance team, ensuring effective support for production, inspection, calibration, and quality engineering activities.
- Establish and sustain a quality culture centered on true root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, and continuous improvement.
- Lead structured problem-solving and investigation activities using tools and methodologies such as RCCA, 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, A3, DMAIC, and other appropriate methods.
- Ensure effective Quality Clinic and Material Review Board (MRB) processes are in place and functioning properly.
- Maintain and analyze quality performance data to support control, improvement, and management reporting, using automated systems where available.
- Develop and implement process and product monitoring methods to assure product conformity and improve process capability.
- Support the setup and effective use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other statistical methods for process improvement and corrective action development.
- Build and support schedules for the quality complex, equipment moves, First Article Inspections (FAIs), and machine capability studies.
- Become the subject matter expert for the North American Quality value stream, with detailed knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.
- Verify quality assurance objectives and processes are aligned with corporate, division, and business unit goals.
- Support work transfers and quality-related activities required to qualify and bring outsourced service providers online.
- Audit existing systems and implement new quality methods and tools that support business growth, operational excellence, and compliance effectiveness.
- Interface with internal and external customers to provide technical support, quality system guidance, investigation updates, and comprehensive responses to quality issues.
- Support cross-functional and global value stream improvement initiatives as needed.
- Provide an effective organizational structure through training, coaching, oversight, and succession planning to achieve best practices in Parker Braking Systems manufacturing.
- Lead, develop, and maintain a high-performing team capable of adapting to a dynamic manufacturing environment with strong emphasis on communication, professionalism, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Foster teamwork and cooperation through effective communication within Braking Systems and across other organizations.

Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving machining and assembly; aerospace industry experience strongly preferred Demonstrated success leading quality systems, quality teams, and compliance initiatives in a high-performance manufacturing environment Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO-based quality systems, and applicable customer and regulatory compliance requirements Experience supporting compliance with aerospace and government-related requirements, including customer, regulatory, and special process expectations Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and structured problem-solving methodologies Knowledge of and preferably hands-on experience with APQP and SPC and statistical improvement methods Strong analytical and technical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive sustainable improvements; Power BI experience a plus Demonstrated ability to lead supplier quality initiatives, including audits, supplier development, corrective actions, and performance monitoring Proven leadership capability, including the ability to motivate, develop, and hold employees accountable for results Ability to make sound technical and managerial decisions with significant impact on quality performance and business outcomes Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management tools; experience with SAP, Q-Pulse, and CAPPS preferred Certified Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, or equivalent credentials preferred Six Sigma Green Belt a plus; Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred
