Job Description:

Ryan Companies is actively seeking a Senior Technology Delivery Manager to lead a portfolio of enterprise technology. This is an IN-OFFICE role in our Minneapolis headquarters.

Initially, the delivery manager will work closely with key stakeholders, larger teams as appropriate and technology resources to define the portfolio, scope current and future technology objectives, assess and set timelines and ensure that necessary resources are assigned appropriately. The role will progress from solution delivery to strategic partner, be cross-functional and interact with members within the Shared Service departments of Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing and Technology. Additionally, this role will directly manage technology resources primarily assigned to the technologies leveraged within these departments. The position will report to Ryan's Technology department.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Develop, maintain and operate a portfolio management structure for the solutions within the business operations space including selection, configuration, deployment and support operations of Shared Services focused applications and technologies.

    • Define and document project scope, objectives, and success criteria with particular focus on alignment with business objectives

    • Create and maintain project plans, including schedules, timeline, tasks, and budget

    • Break down complex tasks into actionable work items, with accurately estimated required time and effort, appropriate sequencing plus alignment of co-dependent activities

    • Determine resource requirements: identify and schedule appropriate people and assets

    • Manage day to day activities against project plans and identify issues or bottlenecks requiring escalation or resolution

  • Assist in defining and managing project governance roles and parameters

    • Develop process to include routine reporting and escalation parameters (scope changes, key business process changes, systems customizations outside of budget thresholds, etc.)

    • Anticipate issues or conditions that may impact timing and budget and engage with key stakeholders on a timely basis to facilitate issue resolution

    • Structure reporting to foster team coordination, accountability and timely response to inflight and support operations

    • Objectively assess and effectively communicate project status to stakeholders and project team

    • Document and communicate key project decisions; ensure key participants understand and take required timely actions to implement decisions

  • Coordinate external and internal teams, particularly coordinating internal teams and change management efforts with the work of external consultants and vendors

    • Serve as the overall subject-matter expert in Shared Service technologies and application knowledge areas

    • Be a strategic partner for multiple business lines directly and indirectly involved in these technologies

    • Provide leadership to projects; be the hub of knowledge and source of truth

    • Manage project teams which may involve internal staff, external partners, and vendors in a collaborative, inclusive and positive manner

    • Ensure that team members identify project deliverables meet quality standards, including internal controls and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Provide leadershipandguidance totechnology teams that consist ofFTE and contractor resources responsible for operations and execution of IT systems and services that achieve high levels of customer satisfaction both internally and externally.

    • Assist with developing career path andgoal settingon an individual basis

    • Provideperformance management tasks includingfeedback, coaching and recognition when necessary

    • Align current and futuretechnology and company initiatives with available or needed resources

Some things we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent related work experience) with 5+ years overall business experience in the construction industry.

  • At least five years of experience as a technology lead, preferably within the construction industry.

  • Experience with full-cycle application or software implementation projects.

  • Previous supervisory experience responsible for performance management with a proven track record of successful people management skills.

  • Experience leading the implementation of new technologies preferably within the construction industry.

  • Certification in Business Process Management, Lean Six Sigma or a Project Management methodology desirable.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and software.

  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors and system integrators.

  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills that will successfully translate to the needs of the team as well as senior management.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Compensation:

The salary range is $115,000 to $150,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position will be eligible for additional compensation that is expected to include an incentive program.
