Quality Control Manager - Power

Play an integral role in ensuring that complex construction projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will operate at the center of project execution-providing the systems, oversight, and leadership required to ensure that all deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and customer expectations. In this role, you directly influence project integrity, client confidence, and long-term asset performance within demanding EPC environments.

Purpose of the role
Play an integral role in leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Project Quality Management Systems across construction projects. You will ensure that all deliverables meet defined standards through structured verification, inspection, and quality assurance processes, aligning with Worley's commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and customer value.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation and governance of project quality management systems to ensure alignment with corporate, contractual, and regulatory requirements
  • Managing inspection and verification processes to ensure all materials, systems, and construction activities meet required specifications and standards
  • Overseeing quality planning activities, including preventive actions, non-conformance reporting, corrective actions, and management of change processes
  • Supporting construction execution by ensuring quality assurance and quality control requirements are fully integrated into project delivery
  • Collaborating with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure consistent application of quality standards across all phases
  • Providing oversight of fabrication and modular construction activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
  • Supporting construction quality requirements for simple cycle and combined cycle power generation projects, including gas turbine installations and associated systems
  • Leading audits, inspections, and quality reviews, ensuring transparency, traceability, and compliance across project deliverables
  • Managing and mentoring quality teams, inspectors, and specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Identifying quality risks and implementing mitigation strategies to protect project outcomes and client expectations
  • Communicating quality performance, issues, and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of quality systems, processes, and tools to improve execution and consistency

What you'll bring to the role:

  • A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in quality control, construction, or project delivery environments, including supervisory or leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience in simple cycle or combined cycle power construction projects, including exposure to gas turbine systems and related infrastructure
  • Proven experience supporting fabrication, modular construction, and field installation quality requirements
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection and testing processes, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience implementing and managing quality processes such as inspection test plans (ITPs), non-conformance control, and corrective action programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex project environments
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including managing teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving accountability
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex quality information and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Advanced knowledge of quality systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence across all project activities
