Job Description




As a Security Officer Driver Patrol in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will also support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service while reflecting Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout building common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and tenant activity, and document daily events, incidents, and/or property issues according to post orders and site expectations.
  • Support property operations by reporting hazards, lighting issues, unsecured doors, and/or other conditions that could impact normal business activity or tenant experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
