Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Direct Hire) | $150,000 - $160,000
Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in piping systems, fluid dynamics, and process engineering? Join a highly respected organization where you'll lead innovative engineering projects, solve complex technical challenges, and make a direct impact on critical facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, analyze, and optimize piping and mechanical systems used in liquid and gas process environments.
  • Perform equipment sizing and selection for pumps, motors, valves, heaters, blowers, and related systems.
  • Conduct fluid flow, pressure drop, thermal, pipe stress, and structural analyses using engineering software and modeling tools.
  • Develop, review, and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documentation.
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, including cost estimating, procurement support, and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance for troubleshooting and system improvements.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience focused on piping, fluid systems, or process equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, equipment sizing, and piping analysis.
  • Experience within regulated industries such as nuclear, chemical processing, oil & gas, manufacturing, or HVAC.
  • PE license is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance.
  • Onsite position.
