We are seeking an Accounting Manager to play a key leadership role within Rite-Hite's Finance organization. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position provides the opportunity to influence accounting operations, develop talent, and help drive continuous improvement across a growing manufacturing business.The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a passion for developing people and improving processes. This role offers broad exposure across the organization and the opportunity to partner across finance to ensure complete, accurate and well-controlled accounting records that support enterprise reporting and decision making. What You'll Do Lead core accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, inventory accounting, fixed assets, incentive compensation accounting, and reserve analyses. Owns the accounting close process and delivery of accurate accounting inputs that support enterprise consolidation and reporting. Oversee process-level internal controls, including execution, documentation, testing support, and remediation efforts. Review balance sheet accounts and fluctuation analysis, challenge explanations, identify risks and anomalies, and drive corrective actions when necessary. Investigate and resolve accounting issues, reconciling items, and process exceptions. Partner with cross-functional finance teams to ensure complete and accurate accounting records. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial controls. Establish and maintain process documentation, standard work and cross-training plans to improve consistency, reduce key-person dependency and support scalability. Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience leading or mentoring others. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial close processes. Experience with internal controls and maintaining accurate financial records. Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions. Experience working within an ERP environment (JD Edwards experience is a plus). Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process effectiveness and scalability.
